Edie Brickel and The New Bohemians, Dallas TX, 2-24-91 (SBD) RE-POST

Edie Brickell & New Bohemians is an alternative rock band that originated in Texas in the mid-1980s. The band is best known for their 1988 hit "What I Am" from the album Shooting Rubberbands at the Stars. That song topped out at number seven on the charts. This show is not a typical Edie and the Bohemians show. On this night they play all kinds of cover tunes mixed in with some of their own along with some improvisational stuff. It appears the band is having a special night of going out on a limb and taking chances. This for me makes it an entertaining listen and my favorite of their shows I have heard. The band was billed that night, for some reason as "Stop, Quit It, I'm Tellin'". They do cover tunes by Steven Stills, David Bowie, Steely Dan, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and more! The Bowie, Moonage Daydream is worth the download alone.
