Jefferson Airplane and Quicksiver Messenger Service, February 1967, RE-Post

Jefferson Airplane and Quicksiver Messenger Service played a double bill for three straight nights at the Fillmore West in February of 1967. Here are two of the sets from those shows. I love the price on the poster. $3.00 to see two bands. And people probably thought it was a high price. This is a great document of the San Francisco sound just before the Summer Of Love.

  3. Now this is fun. I was 15 in 1967. The Airplane and QMS played at the Family Dog in Denver (if memory servers). I was to young to be admitted to the venue. One of my older brother's friends sent me a postcard of this concert poster. I still have it, framed, on my wall. Looking forward to hearing the show!

  4. Note for the archivally minded: The venue was The Fillmore. Fillmore West was the old Carousel Ballroom, which Graham didn't start billing as Fillmore West until sometime in '68. Just to add to the confusion, the original Fillmore (this one) was renovated and put back into the concert business in the '90's. In any event, thanks for sharing this!
