All of the music recordings on this site are recordings of independent origin (ROIOs) Music that has not been officially released. If you are an artist or a legal representative of an artist and you do not want your ROIO shared on my site for free among your fans (and creating new fans), just tell me in the comment area and I will remove them. By the way these recordings exist. They won't go away. All of them can be found at various places on line. Sharing just keeps the fans that support the artists from having to get ripped off by purchasing them on auction sites, and it also introduces music to people who would never have known the artist, creating a stronger fan base.

Little Feat, 8-27-02

This is a very nice Little Feat show from Tucson Arizona. I love the first CD, it just rocks! I have had this since around 2002. I must admit I have been holding out on you. I have not seen this anywhere else. It is a soundboard and sounds real, real sweet.

Delirious?

My Favorite "Christian" band is called Delirious? They have just split up after years of being together and pushing the Christian music envelope forward. They have a sound that is something like U2. They have written songs that are played by worship teams in churches throughout the world. They don't really have any unofficial music available but you can stream all their music at their web site. My favorite has always been the live double CD called "Access:D". I love the crowd participation. Anyway this is not what you might think of Christian music to be. It rocks! But it rocks the message of God's love for the world and His wanting to have relationship with us through His one and only begotten son Jesus. While you are at the site check out the rare tracks for their cover of the U2 song Pride. Martin Smith is the one who writes the lyrics and sings. He also plays some guitar. His lyrics are amazing and truly inspired. Stu G. plays the lead guitar parts (sounds sort of like Edge from U2)and has no equal in Christian music.

So here is where you can check them out.

Here are two shows from the Quonset Hut in Telluride CO. They are two days in a row. Must have been a fun time to see these. The first is This is a show that SCI Fidelity took from the SCI Archive and upload to the etree. And only 514 people have downloaded it. Maybe because it is in SHN. Both shows are great soundboard quality. And the sepecial guest from the David Grisman Quintet make it even better.

The Waybacks and Bob Weir, 2006

Here are three shows of the Waybacks with Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead as a guest. There are also other guests like Sam Bush on mandolin, and Gillian Welch and David Rawlings. I'm sure the folks at Merle Fest were quite surprised when the Waybacks set got extended into these fun jam sessions. Friday night on the main stage, the group, along with Bob Weir, performed a great set of Waybacks originals, Grateful Dead songs and covers including the Beatles "Tomorrow Never Knows", the Rolling Stones "19th Nervous Breakdown." and "The Last Time" and Bob Dylans "Like A Rolling Stone". The "St. Stephen" > "The Eleven" > "Last Time" all jammed together for me is the highlight. The second show was played Saturday night on the Hillside Stage The 45 minutes that were scheduled turned into almost two hours of jamming. Again they play Waybacks originals and Greatful Dead songs and some great covers including Led Zeppelins "Kasmir", The Bands "The Weight" and Dylans " All Along The Watchtower". This time with Sam Bush on mandolin. And all recorded from a nice FM radio broadcast. Need I say more? You need to check this out!

The Waybacks are:
JAMES NASH: lead guitar, mandolin, vocals
STEVIE COYLE: rhythm, fingerstyle & lap steel guitar, vocals
JOE KYLE, JR: standup bass, vocals
CHUCK HAMILTON: drums & percussion
WARREN HOOD: fiddle, mandolin, vocals

The Waybacks, 4-03-07

The Waybacks are a fantastic group of musicians who play an amazing assortment of acoustic music styles. Putting a label on this is like trying to hit a moving target. I guess your could call them "Eclectic Acoustic". Whatever you call them they do it very well and with a sense of humor and musical virtuosity. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, The Waybacks are Stevie Coyle, James Nash, Warren Hood, Chuck Hamilton, and Joe Kyle. And to top it off this recording is clear and crisp.

String Cheese Incident, 3-08-2001

This String Cheese show has special guest Steve Kimock sitting in on several songs. This takes the already jam oriented SCI to a new level. I love the version of Lovelight with the "Blue Sky" teases in it.
