.......... .. .. ........... "Once In A While You Get Shown The Light In The Strangest Of Places If You Look At It Right" :Robert Hunter

All of the music recordings on this site are recordings of independent origin (ROIOs) Music that has not been officially released. If you are an artist or a legal representative of an artist and you do not want your ROIO shared on my site for free among your fans (and creating new fans), just tell me in the comment area and I will remove them. By the way these recordings exist. They won't go away. All of them can be found at various places on line. Sharing just keeps the fans that support the artists from having to get ripped off by purchasing them on auction sites, and it also introduces music to people who would never have known the artist, creating a stronger fan base.

Seldom Scene, McCabe's, Santa Monica, CA 1-19-90 (SBD)

This is a repost of a show I put up back in 2010.  I thought since this is one I had not seen anywhere else and appears to be an Arizona Jones exclusive, it would be good to bring it back.  I ripped this from a second generation soundboard tape I have had of the show since around 1990. It has been listened to a lot so there has been some wear to the tape over time. But I think it still sounds pretty good. It is a real nice show with some great banter and the band appears to be having a lot of fun in this small club. So for the bluegrass fans of my blog a special gift that can only be found here.

  1. Thanks a lot for this show!
I'm quite busy this next week, but I will listen to this on Christmas.

  2. Thanks again for all your Seldom Scene posts. I lived in Washington, DC for 13 years and only saw them at the Birchmere a few times--too busy with work, I guess. Your posts are like a time machine that lets me go back and hear again what I should've stopped in for more during those years!

  3. Thanks so much, my friend. I probably grabbed this one a few years ago, but that never stops me from double-dipping any bluegrass music. Can't wait to hear the Strength in Numbers, too. Made my day.
