All of the music recordings on this site are recordings of independent origin (ROIOs) Music that has not been officially released. If you are an artist or a legal representative of an artist and you do not want your ROIO shared on my site for free among your fans (and creating new fans), just tell me in the comment area and I will remove them. By the way these recordings exist. They won't go away. All of them can be found at various places on line. Sharing just keeps the fans that support the artists from having to get ripped off by purchasing them on auction sites, and it also introduces music to people who would never have known the artist, creating a stronger fan base.

Van Morrison, Montreux, 11-07-1990 (SBD)

This is rated by Van Traders as one of the top Van bootlegs of all time.  On some lists as high as number two.  If you don't have this it is essential Van the Man.  The sound quality is very good soundboard/FM.   There is an amazing version of "Sweet Thing" that seams nicely into "Astral Weeks" before returning back to "Sweet Thing" that makes this a special one.  And "Northern Muse" changes to "Auld Lang Sine", "No Prima Donna" and finishes with "When Heart is Open".  This is really some good stuff.  The "Summertime in England" is awesome. At 13 minutes and Van adds "A Town Called Paradise", "Take Me Back" and "Boogie Woogie Country Girl" into it.  This truly is an amazing bootleg!

Genesis, Liverpool, UK, 4-17-1975 (SBD)

This is one of the best sounding live recordings of the Lamb Lies Down On Broadway.  The recording has very clear vocals with good bass.  There are many live recordings of this tour, but after listening to many of them, this one stands out as the best.  Essential for any Genesis fan.  I saw this tour at the Shrine in Los Angeles and was blown away.  For me this is Genesis at their peak.

Zawinul Syndicate, London England October 1998, (FM)

Joe Zawinul was considered to be one of the creators of Jazz Fusion.  He was an innovative genius that combined elements of jazz with rock and world music.  He was one of the founders of Weather Report.   Zawinul was named "Best Electric Keyboardist" 28 times by the readers of Down Beat magazine.  This is a great recording of his band Zawinul Syndicate.

Nicolette Larson, Yosemite, CA 8-29-86 (FM)

Someone requested I repost this one.
Nicolette Larson had a big hit with Neil Young’s Lotta Love in 1987 and people might remember her backing Neil Young on Comes A Time and Harvest Moon. But she did not get a lot of attention after that. As she said in this recording, “I have a new album called Rose Of My Heart. I hate to plug it but nobody else will…”

Larson’s career was unfortunately cut short when she died in 1997 as a result of complications arising from cerebral edema. She did not leave behind a large body of work but this show is a good example of what was lost.

Eagles, Burbank, CA 4-28-1994 (SBD)

When the Eagles broke up in 1980 Don Henley said that the group would get back together "when hell freezes over".  Fourteen years latter (around 20 years ago) in 1994 the band got back together.  And their first appearance was for an MTV Unplugged session.  They recorded two shows, the first of which became the album "Hell Freezes Over".  This is the second one that was not commercially released.  This recording is as good as it gets, with fantastic sound quality.
