All of the music recordings on this site are recordings of independent origin (ROIOs) Music that has not been officially released. If you are an artist or a legal representative of an artist and you do not want your ROIO shared on my site for free among your fans (and creating new fans), just tell me in the comment area and I will remove them. By the way these recordings exist. They won't go away. All of them can be found at various places on line. Sharing just keeps the fans that support the artists from having to get ripped off by purchasing them on auction sites, and it also introduces music to people who would never have known the artist, creating a stronger fan base.

The Flatheads, 7-31-2000 (SBD) Re-Post

This show is just Bluegrass gold as far as I'm concerned. I'm telling you that this one is a must have. I have been holding out because I could not come up with a location for it. I know it is the day after they played Rocky Grass and they say it is only the second show they have played outside of TN. The Flatheads are like an allstar bluegrass band with, Tim O'Brien, Jerry Douglas, Jeff White, and Charlie Cushman. It just came with a date and thats all. So I put together a song list as best I could.

The Flatheads

Tim O'Brien - Vocals, Mandolin, Fiddle
Jeff White - Guitar, Vocals
Jerry "Calvin" Douglas - Dobro
Charlie Cushman - Banjo
Dennis Crouch - Bass

Randy Lynn Rag
Take Me In Your Lifeboat, Little Sadie
Climbing Up A Mountain, Dusty Miller
Farewell Angelina, Wicked Messenger
Old Plank Road, Working On A Building
Fluxology, How Come I Ain't Dead?
Things In Life, Nintey Nine Years
Across The Sea, Stay Away From Me
Senor, Tombstone Blues
Cabin In The Woods, Carl River

  1. Dang,
This looks like a sweet one!

  2. Camarillo Brillo. Thanks for coming by. I have been to your blog and found some cool things. Glad I could return the favor

  3. Re: the venue of this show ... I can tell you that the Flatheads were @ the RockyGrass bluegrass fest in Lyons, CO during the weekend of July 28-30, 2000. Assuming that this date is correct, I would imagine that they were still in Colorado for this gig.
