.......... .. .. ........... "Once In A While You Get Shown The Light In The Strangest Of Places If You Look At It Right" :Robert Hunter

All of the music recordings on this site are recordings of independent origin (ROIOs) Music that has not been officially released. If you are an artist or a legal representative of an artist and you do not want your ROIO shared on my site for free among your fans (and creating new fans), just tell me in the comment area and I will remove them. By the way these recordings exist. They won't go away. All of them can be found at various places on line. Sharing just keeps the fans that support the artists from having to get ripped off by purchasing them on auction sites, and it also introduces music to people who would never have known the artist, creating a stronger fan base.

More Rick Griffin Artwork

New years is a time for reflection and looking back at the past year one of the most popular posts I did was the one on Rick Griffin artwork. Only the West Clear Creek post and a Muddy Waters post were viewed more. So here is some more of Rick Griffin's art that was not in the last post. First off here is some more of the early concert poster art. This first one is for a Captain Beefheart concert.
This second on one is for a Grateful Dead concert in Hawaii that was canceled and never happened. And here is some more of the comic book art. Rick Griffin continued to do comic book art throughout his career. This one is part of a Beatles song book project that Rick worked on.
Here is some more of the Christian artwork that he did latter in his life, from the Gospel Of John project. The first one is of John The Baptist from John 1:23 "I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Make straight the way of The Lord, as said the prophet Esaias."
This next one is of the woman at the well in John 4:19 "The woman said unto Him, Sir, I perceive That Thou are a prophet." This next one is from John 18 when the centurions came to take Jesus. John 18:6 "Now when He said to them I am He, they drew back and fell to the ground."
This second one is a color painting from the same chapter, John 18.
Here is some of the work Rick did for the Grateful Dead latter in his career. This First one is for the Reckoning album that was an acoustic album that came out around 1981. This next one is a poster for the Grateful Dead Europe tour in 1990.
Lastly this is the cover for the Man From Utopia comic book. This comic book has a unique perspective on good and evil and Jesus as a savior. Apparently it was done as he was pondering his own choice to follow Christ. Shortly after this Rick decided to become a born again follower of Christ. So here is the link for the entire comic book. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NKZ34S8G Man From Utopia (1st Edition).rar
