All of the music recordings on this site are recordings of independent origin (ROIOs) Music that has not been officially released. If you are an artist or a legal representative of an artist and you do not want your ROIO shared on my site for free among your fans (and creating new fans), just tell me in the comment area and I will remove them. By the way these recordings exist. They won't go away. All of them can be found at various places on line. Sharing just keeps the fans that support the artists from having to get ripped off by purchasing them on auction sites, and it also introduces music to people who would never have known the artist, creating a stronger fan base.

Shawn Lane, Jonas Hellborg & Jeff Sipe, Lake Toxaway, NC, 8-08-1996 (SBD)

Shawn Lane was one of the most technically accomplished players of all time with a melodic ear, Lane was named by the American Guitar Institute as the "greatest guitarist who ever lived".  Shawn Lane died in 2003 but we can still hear his music.  This is a great recording of him shredding on the guitar with amazing bass player Jonas Helborg and the great Jeff Sipe on drums.  The musicianship on this is amazing.

Van Morrison, Bottom Line, NY, The Late Show 11-01-1978 (FM)

Here is some Van Morrison from the Bottom Line in New York.  This is a nice FM recording of the late show.  The information claims there was an early show and a late show and that both may be available.  Anyway, this one is pretty good and well worth a listen.

Comments by the original recorder:
This is Van the Man at the tiny Bottom Line Club in NYC.
It's a dynamite set list with a killer band.
I doubt that there is a better Morrison show circulating today.
This is the complete Late Show.
The King Biscuit people recorded the early show and
that floats around on the various trading sites.
If you could own only one Van Morrison show then this would be it.

Steely Dan, Boston 7-22-2009 (SBD)

A really great Steely Dan show.  They played BOTH Aja and the Royal Scam albums straight through and then played the Boston Rag, a song that had not been played in a long time and then played Dirty Water an old Standells song.  It is a very nice soundboard recording.  This one is a must have for any fan of Steely Dan.

Strength In Numbers, Alexandria, VA, 10-10-1989 (SBD)

Here is another show from the bluegrass or acoustic super group called Strength In Numbers. I posted this back in Jan. of 2011 and someone requested I bring it back.  And I felt it was worth it.  This show has been edited to fit on one disc. It is missing a bass solo and a violin solo, at least, and maybe some more. This is some amazing playing by some of the best. You can't go wrong with a lineup like this.
