.......... .. .. ........... "Once In A While You Get Shown The Light In The Strangest Of Places If You Look At It Right" :Robert Hunter

All of the music recordings on this site are recordings of independent origin (ROIOs) Music that has not been officially released. If you are an artist or a legal representative of an artist and you do not want your ROIO shared on my site for free among your fans (and creating new fans), just tell me in the comment area and I will remove them. By the way these recordings exist. They won't go away. All of them can be found at various places on line. Sharing just keeps the fans that support the artists from having to get ripped off by purchasing them on auction sites, and it also introduces music to people who would never have known the artist, creating a stronger fan base.

Grateful Dead, Warfield Theatre, San Francisco, CA, Acoustic, October 1980 (SBD)

In 1980 the Grateful Dead decided to do an album of live acoustic music.  So they played 25 shows where they played and acoustic first set.  They did fifteen shows at the Warfield in San Francisco two in New Orleans and then eight shows at Radio City Music Hall in New York.  From these shows they produced a double album of acoustic music called Reckoning.  They had not really played acoustic sets for ten years prior to this and they really only played a few acoustic shows after this, so this was a real rare treat.  Every night they closed the acoustic set with Ripple.  Before this they had not played Ripple since 1971.  Along with that these shows brought back Bird Song and to Lay Me Down and several others that had not been played in years.  So here are some live acoustic recordings form the Warfield shows.  I call this the Alternative Reckoning. I personally really love these acoustic shows.  I hope you enjoy them as well.

  1. Hi,
It's a GREAT pity that you've switched to mega since my comp blocks it. No chances for mediafire any more?

  3. Greg. Sorry to hear of YOUR computer problem. I Mega appears to work for the vast majority of us. Mediafire has deleted whole accounts of mine in the past with hundreds and hundreds of links that took me uncountable hours to upload. And they gave me no warning and no explanation. Maybe you should just fix your computer problem.

  4. I understand. I don't know what's going on but mega wants to use my computer for storage external files (such is a warning from Windows). When I tried to download something I noticed that indeed - apart from let's say 500 MB music file, there is another about 500 MB of something unrecognizable which I cannot open using usual tools which I have in my comp. Strange, isn't it? Of course I delated it but I'm not sure if I spoted everything what has been "secretly" loaded.

  5. Greg. No one else is having this problem with Mega. It appears you have a security problem, not Mega has a problem. And like I said before I spent tons of time uploading music to Mediafire and had them delete it all with no warning and essentially destroying two years of work building my blog.
